Success starts here!
By · CommentsListen to your heart – it is the surest indicator of what is working or not in your life and relationships.
The old adage of “when in doubt, don’t” is simply another tried and tested way of putting it.
Because your heart never doubts what is right for you.
Lessons I learnt from my Father
By · CommentsTo my Father on His Birthday!
A jingling Pocket… a whiskery kiss
And hundreds of answers to “Daddy, what’s this?”
A spot on his lap for his tiniest miss
A dear friend for life- That’s my Dad!
A hand on my shoulder, some help with a class
A heart to heart talk, and money for gas
In difficult times, a “This, too, will pass”
An anchor of strength…That’s my Dad.
Thanksgiving – A Season Of Gratitude!
By · CommentsIt will soon be Thanksgiving in the United States. We celebrated it earlier in October in Canada . It is always a good time to reflect on all the things we are thankful for…and not just during the holiday season.
I am thinking of all the wonderful people that have entered and left my life at different stages and realize how wonderfully blest I have been to have known them all!
My wonderful parents who have been my foundation and cornerstone of all that I am as an adult. I owe my fortunate carefree and happy childhood to their protection and guidance , their gentle wisdom and simple faith, their example of generosity and kindness to people less fortunate than ourselves and above all to their unwavering belief in me, no matter what my flaws.
I see the world around me with many of my close friends hurting from memories of their childhood and realize I have been given the gift of being unconditionally accepted for being who I am , which makes me strong. With that strength comes the responsibility to give to others from what has been given to me.
Growing Strong Teams like Redwood trees
By · CommentsDriving from San Francisco Airport to our hotel deep in California’s Northern Wine country, I spotted the most amazing sight – forests of toweringly tall yet gracefully slender trees stretching against the early morning sky in silent sun worship. Who were these giants and why had I never heard of them?
Once again driving along a curving mountain drive from San Jose to the California c0ast, we were spellbound by the breathtaking beauty and majesty of these beautiful trees, their rich red trunks aflame with the afternoon sunlight seemingly huddled together in silent anticipation.
Whose team is it anyway?
By · CommentsIf we have no peace it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.
Mother Teresa
Each of us was born gifted with many talents – some lie dormant, undiscovered; and some we have joyfully recognized and embraced as the fuel that raises our existence to the realm of jubilant, passionate, fulfilled lives.
However as the saying goes, man was not born to be an island – leading a solitary existence based on the pursuit of personal pleasure alone. All experience becomes enriched when it is shared.
